about me

Life is a gift that is both magnificent and complicated. I help people navigate both truths.

I strive to enjoy the wonders and the beauty of life. I keep my eyes on the Author of my story and trust that He will continue to do His good work, regardless of the complications.

I am the Director of the Washington Metropolitan Airports Interfaith Chapels. My main focus is as the Senior Chaplain at Reagan National, but I also lead chaplains serving in Dulles.

It’s a great responsibility to serve airport passengers, their loved ones, and staff. With open hands, we help as many as we can.

We provide a sacred space for those who seek after God or just need brief refuge on their journey. We believe it’s important to offer a place of welcome, showing the world a way to express our freedom of religion. (To learn more about my time as a chaplain, read this Washington Post article.)

I have been in leadership positions in nonprofits and church ministries since the mid-90s. I have a Masters in Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Doctorate in Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary. As a coach, I am certified by the International Coaching Federation.

I am a life-long learner so feel free to ask what I am reading and what I am learning. I would love to know what you have read that has made the biggest impact in your life.

I have written about my journey with my son through terminal brain cancer and other topics in my blog. Check it out here…
